Offline Advertising

I've heard that word-of-mouth advertising is the best type of advertising. I've been actively trying to think outside of promotion forums concept when it comes to advertising lately. Don't get me wrong I am fully utilizing my options in that department I think and I won't stop but I'm purposely now trying to think of other creative ways to advertise. Here are some of my other ideas but can you think of any other Offline type of advertising?

- Talk to family and friends about the website
- Send texts to people about the website (most people have smartphones now anyway)
- Post flyers on community bulletin boards
- Leave small flyers where business cards and other flyers are welcomed in business establishments

I was also thinking of leaving handouts on people's cars but I'm not sure if that's legal lol

You can probably just put handouts in people's letterboxes instead of cars. 😛 I personally think offline advertising could work but it also have its disadvantages. For example, if you have a webmaster forum, it is less likely to work because you may not have many webmasters in your local area. However if you have a gaming website, then you might find more success with offline advertising so I think it depends on your niche.

Some ideas for offline advertising:
-Advertising on newspaper
-Wear a T-shirt that is made to promote your website
-Posters

If you are big with your business then billboards are the right place to advertise your business. Other good ways are the print media which can reach out to almost all in your country.

I have shared some of my former websites with friends and they used to visit them regularly. 😀

I've noticed some vehicles around town have stickers on back window of their YouTube channel, Website, Facebook Page and I've seen Twitter as well.

I have some creative way's... spray paint, window paint, vehicle vinyl graphic's/wrap's, and poster's.

Of course "word-of-mouth" is one of the effective marketing strategy. You can directly consults from clients and customers and talk to about your product and services.

I feel as if doing that with family and friends just makes me a horrible friend. I don't know why, but I feel like asking friends to join my forum is like begging for food almost; and most of my family doesn't even understand forums so I find that rather pointless as well. :lol:

I also most certainly will never text my ad, that's just spam. 😛


I don't really advertise offline, I find that people don't want to hear about whatever you are trying to advertise; it's why they block them online with adbocker. :lol:
