Oh No(Urgent)

Was it a custom htaccess? This is an obvious solution but when I panic I tend to overlook them so I'll offer it anyway: if it wasn't a custom htaccess, can you just grab the one from the download of whichever forum software you're using and upload it?

If not, what error are you getting? Or are you just getting a blank page?

It was after installing YOURLS which had a custom htaaccess file which overwrite my main one.

Still getting the error. Keep in mind I have many softwares on my site. Not just mYBB

If you have multiple softwares on the same root, just find whatever code they add to .htaccess in default and add them to a black .htaccess file.

Another easy option is create a test board, install all stuffs and copy the .htaccess file from it.

Make sure you renamed te file Matt gave you, off you did and nothing, go and do what Kavin saidz

Yes but if you take away all software you have a base htaaccess file, that has been overwritten, not mybb's or wordpress's. The main one.

I would success to just name a file .htaccess and that there is nothing in it on that spot. It should normally auto generate the codes within.

what software was in the same main root as the .htaccess file you got problems now with?

I recommend taken a SQL backup, un-installing it and re-installing it the software.

Take a file backup of it as well.

'redirects or subdomains' I have redirects that stopped working when the error came like it said on that topic.

If you just over write the .htaccess file, then you can use new .htaccess file. Lets say if you are using myBB, you can download one or search it in your local drive if you have all files saved. Else, download the myBB software and use the .htaccess that comes with it.

take a backup of the Youurl files and delete all of it and the database.

download it again and install it again.

I'm not sure that works but it should auto generate the .htaccess file again I think.
