BBC News said:
A man rammed his car into a group of pedestrians at Ohio State University then got out and began stabbing people before he was shot dead by police.

Nine people were hurt, one critically, in the rampage at the campus in the state capital of Columbus.

Police Chief Kim Jacobs said they were investigating whether it was a terrorist attack.

The FBI joined the police response to the incident at the 60,000-student campus.

Law enforcement officials quoted by NBC News said the attacker was an 18-year-old Ohio State student, a Somali refugee who was a legal permanent resident of the US.

Asked at a news conference whether it could have been a terrorist act, Police Chief Jacobs said: "I think we have to consider that it is."

He added: "Obviously with the purposeful intent that was noticed - driving on the sidewalk - we're going look at it from the potential that it was planned."

I can't imagine that someone would want to attempt to do something like that.

I live in Ohio and I heard about this as soon as soon as I woke up. It is sad it doesn't surprise me though it was a Muslim who ran out killing people.

Hopefully the people who were injuries didn't have fatal ones. My thoughts go out to them and their families at this time.
