Who prefers older cartoons, I don't mean old like 90's Nickelodeon (unless you want to talk about that) but the kind of old cartoons that don't show anymore. To be honest, Nickelodeon and pretty much all the other cartoon kid-ish channels are today overrun by cartoons that don't even make sense and are just way different than the old cartoons we used to watch. Opinions?

The Wiggles. 'Nuff said. (Even though I can't even watch it without jumping out of a window anymore  )

I miss the classic cartoons like Looney Toons, Tom and Jerry, Scooby Doo, Flintsons, Jetsons. I also miss some of the 90's toons like CatDog, Ren and Stimpy, 2 Angry Beavers, etc...

This. A few of today's cartoons are okay, but the old ones will always have a special place in my heart.

Most cartoons out today that were produced in today's era are complete and absolute ISTH (<<decode). The only exceptions I can think of are Regular Show and American Dad.

It's not just the cartoons, though; shows in general have gone downhill if you ask me. Need proof? Just flip on Jersey Shore sometime.

xD

AMEN! Although History Channel is pretty darn awesome

If we're talking about children's cartoons, 90's NickToons can simply never be beaten.
If we're talking about adult cartoons today is better. Family Guy, for instance, has even grown better with age.

The new Simpsons suck though!

There's still some great cartoons being produced these days, like Archer. I love that show.

I used to love looney toons back in the day. Road runner was my favorite. Now I'm big on Family Guy, South Park, and Futurama.

I love the older ones better. I love Tom & Jerry. I also like Courage the Cowardly Dog (1999 - 20002). I never knew Tom & Jerry was that old. I can see now why so many people love it.

I don't like cartoons, the only one I watched a lot was Recess.

I loved all of those 1998-2004 cartoons on Cartoon Network, too! They were great.

Courage wasn't even canceled because they ran out of ideas...remember "You're not perfect."? LOTS of parents called in and said that it was disturbing and then they fired parts of the staff and canceled the show, with the unfired staff going to other shows.

Amen to that... Now thats not to say there aren't a few shows left to watch.

South Park is still going strong and so is American Dad.

-- 30 Apr 2012, 07:35 --

Thats why I loved courage it kind of had that "Creeper" style to it lol.

Courage used to scare the crap out of me. When I was little. Very little. 😛

Old cartoons rock. The classic cartoons from my childhood are so much better than todays.

I also prefer old cartoons. 90's cartoons rock, but I also tend to like cartoons from the 60's, 70's, and 80's.

It's all about Hey Arnold, Doug, Angry Beavers, CatDog, the Flintstones, the Jetsons, Yogi Bear, Casper the Friendly Ghost.

I could go on and on. Heck, I still even like the 90's Nick Junior shows from time to time. Little Bear, Franklin, Blue's Clues...
