Old forum owner new goals

Hi, wanted to introduce myself. I've been running a forum for about 10 years but recently I've been trying to draw in new blood. I'm not trying to make a living off the forum so I'm not bent on bringing in new people to generate revenue, just want to grow my user base so we have a little more excitement. This is my first post so I can't share a link. My forum is Home Theater Lounge if you want to go to it manually.

I found this site from a forum software forum (if that makes sense). I don't really understand the services section. Are people paying for posts on their sites or is it more of an exchange thing? I'm really not sure.

Welcome to FP! Services like Packages and Reviews are used for the benefit of your site which are handled by the Staff here. Post exchanges can be done with members as well. 🙂

A posting package provides new topics and posts to your forum from package team staff members here at FP that provides new content for your forum. They're a good way to add some new activity and give your forum a boost. There are different packages that all cost different amounts of FP $ (the virtual currency here). Also, we do have member to member exchanges as well in this section.
