Does anybody like old games like Age of Empires or Ultima Online or something? I like those type of games.

Yeah, I play a lot of older cRPGs from the late 80s to the late 90s.

Of course. I've got my N64 and Sega Genesis hooked up and play every now and then, and sometimes play some older PC games as well.

Yeah, I'm just into old PC games like Ultima Online or Age of Empires. Those are pretty much the only games I can name that are as old as they are that I've played. I'm not a very big fan of console gaming, to be honest.

Hiocoie, I think you're hope for the future gaming generations that there is still a small amount of people who prefer quality gaming over "OMG BIOWARE XBAWKS AWESOME BUTTON!!!!!1" crap that fills the industry today. Most people your age or mine or even older won't touch anything older than a few years back because they think the graphics suck, or the gameplay is too hard to learn.

There are too many people who turn down these old games because they think graphics mean everything. Sure, some games are a bit complex, but that didn't stop me from playing the game until I got it right. I play old games quite a bit, though. I like old games, today they can't really get a quality game when they see it. In my eyes, games always take history at some point over the years. 🙂

I think one of the main problems with today's games is that the market is seemingly dominated by sequel. Some series have been able to stay strong (see: Ratchet and Clank, Elder Scrolls), but most are just rehashed of their predecessors. The industry is in dire need of originality, but thanks to CoD tards companies are too focused on making dat bank to bother with trying anything new and risky that won't appeal to such a massive audience.

Anyway, I was playing Morrowind earlier this summer, but got too busy and had to give it a little rest. I'll get back into one of these days. I'm also thinking about reinstalling Roller Coaster Tycoon sometime soon.

Personally, I only like the old Pokemon games on the Gameboy and also Spyro. Apart from those games, I am not a big fan.

I still play alot of classic old games such as Super Mario,Super Metroid,Resident Evil 1,2,3, Castlevania symphony of the night, and much more.

I see. I only play a couple of games from the 90's as that classifies that I'm quite an oldschool gamer, but I also play old games that classify as "older games" as in early 2000's. I've played Roller Coaster Tycoon a few times, but I'm not really a big fan of it. You could pretty much tell I play some pretty old games so.... whatever. 😛

I play some games from the 90's and games from the early 2000's, that means I'm a new gamer? Just a reminder, this is 2011.
Oh, and by the way, I think the 80's barely had any games, because one of the first consoles came out in 1972.

How old are you?

Just curious.

I'm 14. I've played some old games simply years after they came out, so that's why I'm explaining so much, and I knew the first console came out in 1972 because I watched some YouTube videos. Does that explain your question well?
(I actually just became 14 a couple of weeks ago)

Judging by your age its understandable that you have not played to many 90s or 80s titles.

After all they came out before your time.

Its really not uncommon to see gamers your age not to interested in the classics from the 80s and early 90s.

The are only a few games I'm into from the 90's, everything else I play that counts as old is in the early- mid-ish 2000's.
