Old time video camera?

Does anyone still use an old time video camera?

I bought one when my daughter was born in 1993 and rarely used it. It was awkward recording her because I didn't want to hear my own voice. The camera had some malfunction about a year after purchasing it and since I bought it from a company in New York that was no longer in business, I was kind of out of luck.

Have a Camera laying around that's we got since the late 80s that used the old style films. But we just keep it in the box and no longer use it since we have smartphones that do far better jobs nowadays.
