Has anyone notice there is truly an art in some old SNES video game songs? Like almost someone didn't take making songs as a job but as an art, or a joy?

Reaching all the way to the most incredible songs I've heard in a game:

Is it just me, or does the gaming industry REALLY need to step up how much time they put into a game, especially with small things like music that makes a big difference? The qualities of video games from the 90's was substantially higher than what we got today. Honestly, I wish I would of grown up in the 1990's, as I would of had the coolest childhood I think in my life, with all of these songs. If some games of today were like what they were in the 90's, can you imagine the quality of these games?

Well I really enjoy the music from the earlier video game days, but I also enjoy modern video game music from games like Heavy Rain and God of War where they use full-scale orchestras.

I was recently listening to some Legend of Zelda music though. Buddy really enjoys video game music and likes to blast it every now and then.

Ha, ha, this might sound weird, but I know when I used to play Pokemon Yellow, there was that one deal where if you tried printing out your Pokedex without a Game Boy Printer, you would basically hear the music and would get that error message that you couldn't print anything as you weren't connected to the Printer. Call me totally weird, but sometimes when I was seriously bored, I would go to the Pokedex in the game, and then I would go like I'm going to print a page, and then I'd put my old Game Boy up to my ear so I could hear the music from the Pokedex deal. Yeah I was weird back then but that's what I liked to do. I think I even managed to play that one on the piano at one time as well...

All video game music from the NES, SNES, MegaDrive (Genesis) and other retro consoles are considered "art". Well, not all of them like the infamous Action 52 😛

idk, I really enjoy the more modern game music, the exception being the Final Fantasy series. They have ALWAYS had great music, and so has Zelda. But I preffer more modern game music, such as the Silent Hill series and other ps3 games. I should also note the Metal Gear Solid series for epic game music too though.
