Your views on actors in their mid 20s to mid 30s playing teenagers, or college freshmen on TV?

Like Jason Earles http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_Earles is 33 when he Played Jackson (Hannah Montanna older teen brother) on Hannah Montanna on Disney.

Tom welling was 24 when he started played Clark Kent as a High school senior on Smallville .

I think it is alright, but I can't believe some of actors still look so youthful in their 30s, and mid 20s like teens.

33?!! :O

Maybe you got the age wrong.

I know Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint are all around 22, but play teens in the Harry Potter movies. I don't see a problem with it.

Yeah, he did. He's 34 😛

Hannah Montana ended in 2010 I believe, so he was 33 when HM ended in 2011. He is now 34.

If Jason Earles had a daughter when he was 16 or younger, Miley Cyrus who plays HM would be almost the same age 16-17 back in 2011, or the same age as his daughter, but yet they are siblings in Hannah Montana.

I wonder if many of these Grown up who played teens in their later years would get many adult parts when they look older.

There's nothing wrong with that, I mean it's a bit ridiculous with horror movie cliches being set in a highschool with all the actors being in their late 20s but eh some can pull it off.

I think non-whites like Asian people, Black people, and possibly Spanish people look younger for their age.

But, it might be kind of ridiculous to get plastic surgery or using tons of make-up to look younger for a part instead of finding roles which are more age appropriate with their appearance.

Nah I think it's just Asian people who are like that, FYI for staff who cannot into physical differences and think anything discussing race is racism (well I mean dunno if those staff are still here) I'm just saying Asian people tend to look younger than other people. At least until they reach old age.

I don't see anything wrong with it as long as their convincing. And as far as how they do it, that's why make-up artist's make so much in Hollywood. 🙂

I believe hair stylist as make a lot in Hollywood by dying, and cutting actors and actresses hair to make celebrities' hair look more Youthful.

I don't see anything wrong with it, but I sometimes wonder do actors and actresses who play kids, and teen roles in their mid 20s and 30s rather act in more mature TV series like Law and Owder, CSI, Two and a half men, House, and There's something about Raymond instead of playing a younger role.

The Inbetweeners (UK) actors are mid to late 20s and play late teenagers 🙂

speaking of The inbetweeners, I heard that's getting the skins treatment and is going to be ruined for American audiences to enjoy all over america 😛.

I don't really think it's an issue for older people to play teens as long as it's believable.

Exactly. It's no big deal, if it's believable I think it's fine.
