I just now had a look through some of my earlier posts and thought it was very interesting. I found a topic that I posted in Community Matters where I was asking how to add an avatar.

Look back through your posts, and tell how your posts have changed, stayed the same, how well you've gotten used to the community, how you felt when you made those posts, etc. Don't have to stick to those, but they're just some suggestions of what you could mention. 😀

I personally think my posts have stayed the same.

I would say that to an extent, I've probably matured in most of my posts here at Forum Promotion. This is a most recent example, mind you. Anyways, when I first started here and started trying to run a forum, and I would recieve negative feedback on my site in any shape or forum, I'd used to retaliate in some shape or form when I was really upset about a negative feedback or rude remark. Now I'd say I've gotten better. I'm trying not to comment so much to rude feedback, and as for just plain negative feedback, I'll usually respond to something along the lines of, "I'll see what I can do." or "I'll have a word with the other staff and we'll think of something from there". So I honestly think that, compared to two years ago, I've really matured as to how I respond to feedback and rude remarks. Also, when I first joined up here, I think one of the reasons why I didn't respond like I probably should have was because I probably wasn't used to this place being so big. And by big I mean by members AND posts! So much to reply to, so much feedback, both good and bad! How does one deal with all of that?? But I really think I've gotten better, though, over these last few years.

My intro was
Hai, I'm Oscar... I look forward to meeting everyone, and making a forum along my travels of nerdness. 😛

Then I posted a 'Nice Site' topic. xD

Ive come on a lot, back in the beginning I asked all about stupid things like adding sigs and stuff like that.
Looks stupid looking back now.

Don't feel bad, Oscar, my intros are still short, sweet, and to the point, even to this day! 😉 All I basically say is who I am, the fact that I run one forum of my own, and that I look forward to getting to know everybody. Short, sweet, and concise. And like you, the second section I automatically head to on a new forum more than anything else is the feedback one. Mostly short and sweet like, "good luck with your site!" Or sometimes I'll do a kind of review if I see more than one thing wrong with the site. I remember one forum where I did what could've passed for a full-fledged, but brief review on a given site. I chuckled when I read my thread after someone replied to it, and I thought, "I swear I should join up with a review team someplace, since I made such a detailed review" In fact, I think I went overboard even and even gave that forum owner a rating as well! 😳 It was pretty funny.

If you've been on forums as long as I have, you can look at posts from 2002 when you were much younger. It's a really humbling experience. xD

At the start my spelling, grammar and professionalism were terrible but now they are a lot better.

I've done that as well. I was an epic spammer on the first site I joined... I didn't know any better. Than the mods set me straight and I started to be a valued member of that community.

I was more or less like I was now. A bit more of a jerk though. Also my username was NoLineOnTheHorizon as opposed to Bono

2002? Wow, you've been foruming a lot longer than I have, Snobo! I've only been visiting forums since the beginning of the new year in 2007.
