Hey guys, long time no speak and all .. but anyway.
War of Legends (
http://www.waroflegends.com ) is a game I thought I'd like, and is a reasonably big game. So I bought the domain name:
http://www.wolforums.com
I was actually going to make this a big forum, but I didn't. I checked up on it 2 mins ago and seen a lot of people online and 9,000 spam posts. I checked the webalizer and I got just over 6k unique hits last month.
How do I tell if these are real people also?
Here's the question;
What do I do? Sell the domain? Put a lot of advertisements on it and just let them spam it?
Help me out, and if you might be interested in the domain then offer a price - I can prove this so don't question the authenticity.

Stick a load of ads on it, you'll make a killing.
That's the obvious one yeah. I will probably do that, but I might just flip the domain.

i would plaster it with ads there wouldn't be a little white space

Sell it (domain) and make sure you say how much traffic it gets. 6k uniques/month is great and if this is climbing then someone should buy it.
Also, if you just let them spam it, Google may ban you, so not a good idea.
Keep the forum just add ads on every post, and etc.. like digitalpoint.com did.

What's the point? You have spam bots roaming the forum, and ads need to be click by people, so who will click them?

Not only will they not click them you'll find few ad networks will allow such a website to be on their network. I know Adsense would definitely ban you
Run everyone through the stop spammer mod and get cracking : )

I would just park some ads on the page
For that I would use CPM banners
