Has there been times when you've had to run the place on your own for a period of time? Simply cause your team went on Vacation or some other thing? Or just cause you were unable to recruit someone at the time?

I've never, ever had a forum that I have had multiple staff on that actually did any work. I didn't bother to remove them, either. I've always been on my own and that's how I like it, although my brother does all the modding with the folders because we share a host. It's just that my forum looks like freeforum garbage. :S

Newb at owning forums? My staff never go well but I'm going to leave then there because they're reliable members and they might do something eventually, now and then.Darthmaul said:

I think what s/he is saying is that they are going to leave the forum and let the remaining staff take over and sort things out and have done with forums.

Yeah my one is A sad besides it was my first forum
My first forum was going great i though bust of activity sadenly since it was my first forum you goto learn somewhere Everyone left and didnt come back
Inlcuding the staff i went on a adveritisng spree and noone came back
So basicly i had to close it learn by my mistakes and start agasin (the forum in my sig which I will be sticking to)

I have not been on my own running my forum for quite awhile. We have enough staff members for this to not happen. I think it has been down to only two staff members before though because three staff members either had vacation, work, or something sports related. I think it's been two years since I last left the other staff member(s) to run the forum while I was on vacation. I went on vacation for the weekend after I had my forum open for about two months, when I came back, the forum was dead. I have worked from that, and now have a developed staff team I feel I can trust when I am away. Oddly enough though, I have not went on vacation since then. I'm sure I'll still be a bit reluctant to go on vacation and be away from my forum for longer than a few days.
I'd be unable to do it on my board. My site simply gets too much traffic and there are far too many tasks for one person to do, even if I DIDN'T have to do things like sleep, eat, other essentials and even just look away from the screen for a few minutes. It's physically impossible. XD

I'm the only administrator on my forum so I've been running my forum on my own since I made it. My moderators are good help but they couldn't update my forum through the admin panel so I feel like I've always ran my forum by myself!
