Have you ever considered becoming a retailer for a company? It's interesting, a friend of mine does it as side job, and it can pay pretty well! What I like most about it is that all you have to worry about is setting up the store and advertising; the content and service is already provided for you.

I thought about doing this, combining Nike's athletic wear and Under Armour, my 2 favorite clothing companies, but never went anywhere with it.

This does sound pretty interesting... and if my health were to cooperate with me I wouldn't mind trying something like this. As it stands now, however, all I have time for these days is a forum. That's time consuming for me enough thank you.

Is this something your friend does online? How does it work, is like drop-shipping, an affiliate scheme or something else?

I have considered it in the past. My mom does this with drop-shipping pet supplies. She has been doing it for a few years and has managed to make a living off of it. I may look more into doing something like this in the future.

Well done to your mum Eternal. Does she have her own website for promoting the products?

That would be pretty cool! Those brands work well together.

Yeah, it's definitely time consuming. Taking orders, web work, dealing with unhappy customers, etc.

Yeah, it's drop-shipping. He's allowed to keep some items in stock, but other than that, we're basically a middle man. I was surprised at how low the wholesale costs are.

That's pretty sweet that she can make a living off of it! What kind of supplies does she sell, like toys, or medicine, or food?

Right now, I would rather deal with unhappy forum members than unhappy customers. Also, what is drop-shipping? Somehow I can only think of sites like Amazon and eBay when I think of that, but I also feel as though I'm way off.

Yes, she has a website. I can give you the link if you would like to check it out.

She sells a little bit of everything. Collars, beds, toys, etc.

Yes please do, I'd like to have a look at it.

Drop-shipping is when you promote products, generally on your own website, take orders from customers, then pass those orders on to the supplier who ships the actual product to the customer. It means you can sell products and earn from those sales, without having to produce anything or hold on to any stock.

Erm, so is it kind of like running a site like Amazon, then? I should know this concept but unfortunately I don't.

Some years back, I set up a lingerie site online. Back then I didn't know anything about SEO or marketing and couldn't market properly. Now if I were to try that again, I'm sure I could make it work very well.
