Operation Take Down Google

I'm users you all hate Google as much as I do, right? Your all shaking your heads yes at this point, I imagine. Well join me as well as others and lets try to take down Google. I'm not wanting to DDoS them, but I'm simply wanting to drop the people that use their services and search entire. The purpose of this is dethrone Google. What's the benfit from doing this? Yahoo Search and Homepage offer a robust news page, acces to your mail and a much more advanced layout.

So, switch your search engines to Yahoo! If your browser is google Chrome, no problem! Just switch the Engine to Yahoo!

So be a part of something different. Yahoo it!

Google is the cleanest big company I could think of 😛 There are so many others you could hate. Curious why you like Yahoo so much? In my eyes they are subpar. Maybe you're their new CEO :lol:

What about Apple? 😛 I like Yahoo so much because they do not copy anyone, like Google or Microsoft does.

I would like to point something out here. There is a reason Google took off like it did, because unlike all of the other engines out there, Google was the most simplistic sites out there. It wasn't cluttered with all of the nonessential things you didn't use, or this or that. Google didn't explode with popularity because of its pretty colors in the logo. There is a reason, and saying that Yahoo is better because it offers more robust features and everything, think about this. If that's what the Internet wanted in the first place, Google wouldn't be where it is now. The Internet wanted something easier, and for that fact, faster.

That's my two cents.

Make a search on Yahoo and look at the footer.
You'll see a "Powered by Bing" notice. Yahoo and Microsoft made an agreement years ago.

I find this funny because in fact, they have been king. You are using an approach that involves opinions. While opinions are nice, facts are better. Were you aware that Google takes over 75-80% of the overall search engine quires? Ever since Yahoo got new leadership, they've never been the same, and for that fact, have dropped in percentage ownership in the market. I know you hate Microsoft and Google because they make Android and "apple hates Android", which isn't true because both are highly respected companies and neither on of them would stoop to that level and say such a thing to damage their reputation.

It does depend on what we are considering they are king at. Steve Jobs would like to start a nuclear war with android. That's how much he despises, and probably hates them. This was before Samsung stuck their head out.

People use pathos instead of ethos sometimes, and that gets us. They draw us in on emotion, and we forget to get out and use logic.

Alright, we are going a little too overboard here. You are interjecting your own thoughts into a matter that you have no idea or basis of your reasoning from. You have no idea how much or little Jobs hated Google. Saying such a thing is just past being mature, it's heading toward being obnoxious. You are just assuming he did on the basis that you think you know everything about Steve Jobs, which you don't.

Read that. Jobs hated Google and I know that for a fact. He disliked the founders and the founders of Google dislike him. I don't know how you got obnoxious out of that. It's even been used in court cases.

I am not interjecting my own thoughs. I agree Google has a good search engine but for my passion of hating them I'm not going to use them.

I know a lot about Steve Jobs. I don't know everything, but I know a heck of a lot of stuff about him.

They are not. They are pretty hypocritical if you read into it.

Tax avoidance makes it extremely difficult for a local company to compete.

I'm not switching to Yahoo because their search is powered by Bing. However - I occasionally use www.ddg.gg when I am feeling anti-google.

Personally I love Google. They provide me with the search results I'm looking for and are extremely user-friendly. In my opinion, Yahoo is much less user-friendly.

Even if you get every member of this forum to not use Google it wont effect them. Google is popular throughout the world so few thousands wont make any difference to them. As for me I love everything about google and Android is by far the better choice you dont have to pay for everything unlike apple.

I agree with a lot of the stuff Google does - Android being one of their best products. There is just a few things I dislike about them but not enough to make me stop using them.

Far as I know that Yahoo more likely to get attacked than Google. Recently over thousands yahoo extra email accounts got hacked.

Telecom really should have managed their own email service, even if the servers were American based.
