What are your views on https? The site I'm currently in the progress of creating I just added https to the site, and have it completely secured. It's a forum however, and I really like it, and think it is professional, and adds a lot of extra security to it. I'm planning on doing this for my other forum now as well.

I have SSL enabled on one of my sites, (the one in my signature, to be specific) and I love it. I think having that green little "lock" makes it 10x cooler when visiting. Lol.

One thing to note, any images that are on the page once loaded that isn't loaded from either your server or another party that uses HTTPS will make your green lock go away. It's totally fine, though. I'm just saying, if someone links an image in their signature (or avatar) and the image isn't from a secured third party site, you'll just have this grey https:// next to your domain.

Other than that, I love it. Adds security while making your site look even better. 😀

Yeah, I noticed that instantly lol. I had an imgur link on my site, and didn't get the green lock so I had to look into it and change it. Now the images don't work at all using https lol. However, I completely agree with the green lock making the site look 10x cooler! I was so hyped when I first saw it, though it's giving me a headache now XD

Imgur offers HTTPS. Just add a s the the http in the url and you'll be good. 🙂

I think it's something nice to have but isn't necessary. It does add professionalism. I think especially large forums should have it as there's more security and data protection needed there.
