You should get TLD or at least shorter domain. If you are not on paid hosting, I would recommend you use www.prophpbb.com, due to 99.99% of free cPanel hosting being terrible.
It will be better off if you focus one major topic then add the other one latter. If you are going to focus on both from the start you forum need a balance look, which you do not have at the moment.
Buy yourself a domain name and choose a cheap hosting service provider if you can't pay for the big hosting providers. You won't need an unlimited package or anything. There are a lot of 1 USD hosting/2usd hosting provders which offer quality hosting.

DreamHost had a 4 $ a month for hosting, I love them and recommend them. While that is being said, a;so that background image it TOO BIG for web, took over 30 seconds to load, and my connection is over 20MB a second. Compress it on PhotoShop. When you export File>Save for Web then use a light format like PNG or a JPEG on low. You must maintain a good looking forum that is fast on loading.
