What outdoor fun did you do as a kid? Riding bikes? Racing? Tag? Hopscotch? Roller skates? etc...

I used to go out and explore the neighborhood with friends, riding bikes or just walking around. As I got into roller skating, I did that a little bit (though looking back, I didn't have the right wheels for outdoor), and a little bit of skateboarding too, though I wasn't good at that. I remember I used to walk to the local 7-11 either by myself or with friends to get Slurpees and candy too.

Hide and seek, tag, man hunt, a game where we would run to the end of the driveway and whenever we see a car we would run as fast as we could and get behind my parents cars.

Describe Kerby and Chapd Door Run for me??
Kerby needed two of you and a football, you’d stand at either side of the road and kick the ball between each other, trying to stop the other players ball from touching the kerb or they got a point.

Chap door run, there would be a group of you and you’d each get dated to go run up to a house, knock the door and then run away but you couldn’t get caught or you lost the game.

Kerby sounds dangerous!!

The other one sounds like Ding Dong Ditch but knocking instead of ringing the doorbell.

I would ride my bike and also go "hiking" in the woods that was near my neighborhood. (The woods weren't that deep, so I don't really call it real hiking lol.) I also live action roleplayed with my best friends too!

We used to put on shows/plays/musicals with our friends! We came up with the scripts, costumes, etc and then would drag the parents out to watch us.

Besides that we would ride big wheels, roller skate, play tag, play hopscotch, dig in the sand, climb trees, play on the swingsets and so much more.

I guess in these days yes it carries more risk as the roads are a lot busier, that being said it was usually played in quiet residential streets.

I always remember as a kid, my brothers and I used to spend hours playing out, especially during the warmer months. We would ride bikes, roller blade, climb trees, have fun fishing and even make dens as kids.

I liked riding my bike. It was something I could do with friends or by myself.

We spent a lot of time at the lakes fishing and messing around, campfires were a must.

Did anyone ever build a fort? Or a treehouse?

Unfortunately no, but there was an old treehouse in the woods by the local park. However the only thing left standing besides the planks of wood for the ladder was one lone piece of wood so it was long gone.

We had a creek near my first place of living that was well-suited for biking. We would ride our bikes down a big slope, and there was a hump of dirt you could ride over that was much like a bike ramp.

I did skateboarding and rollerblading in my teenage years.

As a child, I envisioned being a construction worker when I got older, so I would dig in the dirt with a shovel frequently. I dug one hole so big that it was roughly the size of a medium-sized swimming pool.

I was born during an era when sticks and mud were all we had to play with. That probably sounds a little odd by today's standards but it helped foster imagination which is critical to child development.

Ooh I wish we had a creek to jump our bikes over! That would have been so much fun!
