I'm in the process of redesigning my forum. I'd really like some feedback on how it looks. Thanks!

I think that you need to make it a bit more colorful, the white everywhere looks horrible and there are no borders on there to cut off the edge from the actual forum sections. It may drive a few people away because of the boring look. Sorry to seem harsh, just trying to input my opinion. 🙂

Looks okay, although you might want to make the footer area smaller. That huge grey div looks a bit... ugly at the moment.

When it's complete, it's going to have links, social media icons, and possibly a social media feed of some kind. That's why it's a fat footer.

Yeah the tables are too plain for me IMO. Maybe if there were hovers that would help you a lot.

1. the yellow/gold color is too hard on the eyes. It goes fine with black but not with white.

you can try something more soothing to the eyes like blue etc.

2. also if I can suggest you on layout then you should really make the subforums as main forums and their respective main forums as categories. at present the number of main forums is minimal which is not exactly a plus.

3. Yes add more colors and some funky background to the theme.

I appreciate the feedback, but I don't know if I can implement any of it.

My design style is minimalist, so I tend to not go overboard with backgrounds and things like that. I apply that same concept to the amount of boards I create. I find it cleaner to have less and combine forums into one section where I can.
