On DigitalPoint and some other big websites, they use it to rank a website's power much as Google PageRank once did. Note, to my knowledge, page authority tells about the power of specific pages, while domain authority refers to a whole website's ranking ability.

Anyhow, PA when seen on the web probably refers to an average of PA, cause each page has something different.

You are absolutely correct. Page Authority is the power or rank of pages of website on search engines. It is different for all pages of website. Whilst, DA is the authority or power of domain of a website.

DA measures the likelihood of a website getting a high ranking, while PA measures the likelihood of a particular webpage. Compared with increasing the PA score of a webpage, increasing the DA score of a website requires more effort, but it has more long-term benefits.

Yes Jason,

You are right. Nicely explained the things.

DA is based on the number of backlinks on your home page, where s PA is based on the backlinks of your individual page.

I know that it is always good to make sure that you rank well with as many services as possible, when it comes to everything that can promote a site to the top of search results. Most people know off hand that content and inbound links do help, but do not understand that those need to be tied together consistently to make sure you get the best results of the two. Working on one will increase the results of the ranking that it is geared towards, but might not even budge the other one bit, if not properly taken into consideration.

The PA and DA rankings are two metrics used by SEO experts to measure the strength of a website's backlink profile. The higher the PA and DA ranking, the more likely it is that a website will rank high in search engine results pages (SERPs). One way to increase your PA and DA ranking is to build more high-quality backlinks to your website. This can be done by creating great content that other websites will want to link to, or by reaching out to other websites and asking them to link to your content. If you're serious about increasing your website's PA and DA ranking(https://www.sitecentre.com.au/blog/what-is-domain-authority), then you need to focus on building high-quality backlinks. By doing so, you'll improve your chances of ranking higher in SERPs, which will ultimately lead to more traffic and conversions for your business.

The likelihood of a high ranking for a website is measured by DA, whereas the likelihood of a high ranking for a specific web page is measured by PA. Raising the DA score of your website takes more time and effort than raising the PA score of a single page, but it has more long-term benefits.

We see the result on backlinks and strength of it. I admit the posts are correct information, why not you try to build some backlinks and see how your site perform?

Both PA & DA are very important for the website. It shows the quality of the website.

Domain Authority (DA) and Page Authority (PA) both are showing your website and page popularity. Generally its calculation of number of quality backlinks, website quality and spam score.
