Well I'm kinda new to this whole thing and have some questions..

Where do I check my Pagerank because Iv done numerous websites and have gotten anywhere from N/A to 3? Which one do I use?

Now What are some great ways to get this up?

Yea you can check your PR right on my forum on the bottom left. www.forumpioneers.com

And to answer your question, Google bases your PR Pagerank by how many links you have on other sites linking back to yours. Also the higher the Pagerank those other sites that link back have, the higher you will have.

@MrJohn so I could just add links from other websites and I'd still move up? just a bit slower with websites that are same as me?

No, the other sites have to link to you.

No, I know sorry must have miss read what I said..

What I mean is if I can find a website that will add my link and is 0/10 will it somewhat still effect me?

Yea as Kirisute said, they have to link back to you. My advice would be to find my post that is titled "4000+ free directories" in the promotion tips section here at FP and submit to some of the high general free directories. Also, Topsites are a good way to get your pr up. And last but not least find forums that are high pr and register with your link in the sig.

Hmm, I don't think it won't help you, but it is best to put your link on higher PR sites.

Believe so, but text links are more effective.
If you must use images, add the alt text and it will act the same as a text link.

Most of like to have good PR, but it is all too easy to think about it and focus on it too much. The most important thing is to offer good benefits to your members and to have quality content on your forum.

Some sites with low PR have very high traffic. PR is a nice to have, but focus on quality rather than PR.
