Google have updated it's pageranking today for the second time this year, see if your website has gone up or down.

http://WhatRanking.com

I've had a few changes:
TheCoDZone - pr4 to pr3 🙁
WhatRanking - pr0 to pr2 🙂
Cardevoters - pr0 to pr2 🙂
Thetechforum - pr3 to pr2 🙁
Cod7forum - pr0 to pr3 🙂

I do apologise, but why do you care about PR? It means nothing unless you have a massive website that you're looking to sell for a 5-6 digit price.

You are so wrong from the truth. You obviously have no idea what pagerank or SEO means.

Link to the website where you got that off?

I'm PR 3, yet we're ranked 4th first page for a 30k search term. We're ranked 7th for a 160k/mo search term. Please tell me how that's PR3. Not to be rude either, but take this from an experienced forum owner who focuses on a specific project, unlike you who has made over 5. I know how SEO works, and the fact we're hitting 25k+ hits/mo from Google with $0 invested in SEO speaks for itself.

Furthermore, the fact that PR10 can be achieved with big sites that have been opened for 2/3 years also speaks for itself. You're clearly relying on an unreliable source, which can be seen from your comments. Good luck with your forum and have fun relying on PR, when you should be relying on the content of your countless forums.

The Elite is right, Page Rank does not matter. It is all about what the rank your site is under targeted key words. The only good thing about having a high PR is you can sell you link on you site for higher payment and you will get little more money if you are selling the site.

@JosephC
Even through I may not care about PR it sill very impressive to own site with those ranking.

Ok your just being ignornamt now. I never said that pagerank was the most important. I simply said that pagerank has something to do with your SEO and serps.

And if you knew what you were talking about, you would have had a better reply then what you wrote.

No, PR is not important whatsoever. I've discussed this with the owner of one of the top 10 fastest growing websites online, and he even agreed with me. Ignorant? I think not.

Not really. Google's algorithm changes and other factors have essentially made PageRank not much more than a number. The problem there was that Google realized many webmasters were focusing on increasing their PageRank more than their content.

Oh man, I just realised. OP cares about Alexa and PR. You need to take a look at a real SEO resource website. Don't tell me you think meta tags matter now.

Well. My site has a pagerank of 0. But still we get top spots in search results, where some of the Higher PR sites lags behind us.

I agree with The Elite, though PR does have a factor, its nothing we should worry about.

We have gone from PR0-2 in the last update.

But Pr is useless, we have 3rd result, first page for a 334 million result keyword on google.co.uk 😀

Try to rely on search terms, not results.

Well when I heard that it was updated I was so happy because it was about time.. I was expecting only about a PR1, but when I went to check it I saw that www.adminbb.org is now ranked at a PR3. We went straight from PR0 to PR3 in the 6 months that we have been around.

As mentioned its only just a number, what matters is content, and if you made your way to increasing your pagerank simply by keeping up with posting content and advertising then well done!

Wober.net is finally a PR 2
We've been a 1 for the longest time.
Although to be honest, it doesnt really matter to anyone what the number is.

Well Done,

A while ago (last update) we hit PR3 after being a PR2 for a quite some time. Then we dropped to 0, not sure why but honestly I didn't really care that much.

Anyways we've now gone back to PR2. Perhaps the same thing will happen again 😛
