Have you ever tried a paid posting service and did it help your forum, were the posts any good?

I haven't bothered with it but the quality depends on who you buy the post from. I have seen alot of people try to charge for post who can't even use capital letters properly and type sentences that make any sense. Equally i have seen some people post long perfectly written posts though.

I don't bother with these, more often then not you'll find they copy / paste posts / topics rather than thinking up content that's relevant to your forum.

Having said that, they are quality posts and some of the providers are fairly cheap these days. On the other hand though, it would take away from the satisfaction you feel by knowing you have earned all those posts / members yourself (each time you hit a milestone).

Would love to hear some feedback from some people who have used these site(s). ~smile~

It's just a description for ranks, I PM'ed him about it -lol-

-lol- Hello sbfc93 ! Yes sb is doing some paid posts for me right now. The content is very good. We have agreed that time for the posts is not a factor. That way he can make quality posts and not just irrelevant jabber.

As far as the satisfaction for post counts...that is not the reason I am using this service. His posts merely help to stimulate conversation between already active members. If it were a dead forum that received no replies to his posts, then yes, it would be pointless.

I took a chance with this as it was only a couple bucks for the service. If anybody does this, make sure the poster is reliable or you could get stung.

(and he is not a spammer, that is just a post ranking) -D-

Nah I havnt bought any, but I am good at doing them in exchange for stuff. Ive done it both ways there, like 25 posts for a MOD install, and like wise 30 posts for some DN$ on another forum.

I dont think I will ever "sell myself" as a poster, or buy a package of posts when theres sites like this that provide it free. Thats not including the fact I could just make another account... -razz-

A lot of people do think that people buy them just for the post count to rise but I think Mike made a good point when he said that he is buying them to make conversation. If the person you are buying them off does make good, quality and useful posts then it makes your forum look better and makes better conversation between members.

I wont use it, I don't see why I should pay for a service I can get free elsewhere. Most of the Administrators of forums are kids nowadays anyway.
