Paid to post forum?

I've been toying with the area of starting up a paid to post (NOT host) forum for a while now.

Could anybody give me some tips or ideas on starting up? What is the average success rate of a paid to post forum?

I actually havn't seen many types of these forums. So, really for the average forum user it would be like finding gold. As of starting up, I have no clue.

I had this feature on my forum, user's get points for posting and those points can be used to get PayPal money and other things. It was quite successful as I got quite a lot of posts.

Well, you have to compete with others paid to post services. Make add some extensions to your paid to post service like add avatar for 0.10 USD.

I've never thought about paying users for adding an avatar, but I can definitely see that working out.

Any other ideas/suggestions?
