Paid Website Directories

Do you think paying to list your listing on Online Directories are worth it? Some online directories charge as little as $9 per year to list featured links and such on the Website Directory while others charge as much as $20 per month.

I don't even use these directories, and I don't know anyone that uses them as well.

I can see forums getting more exposure via other outlets, I really do not think that paying for your website to be placed on a directory is really worth it.

Honestly, I have never once used a directory before. That being said, I don't think others use directories that much anymore. So I think its almost a forgotten cause.

I have the same thoughts. I've never bothered using them myself to promote a website as they seem like a pointless cause, I mean they could work, but there are alternative methods that I am more comfortable with because I have experience with them.
