Parked Domains -> Revenue

I've been reading up on these recently and I'm think I may start trying it out just to earn some pocket money.

Has anybody else tried to raise revenue with parked domains? How did it go? Are you still doing it?

Parking on Sedo will get you some nice cash. Its quite effective, though I sold my domain before getting any real cash.

They're basically domains that are filled with a page of ads. :great:

I've worked the theory behind it, I just haven't put it to practice...

With some registrars, I believe you can automagically park your domains.

Have you guys heard of "milliondollarhomepage" ? I guess you can come up with some idea like that and earn some real cash !

I heard it only works for domains that previously had a very high-traffic website with lots of backlinks, and does not really work for websites which are unpopular or had very few visitors before it was parked.

Plus, most search engines don't give a high ranking to parked domains.

I heard of Million Dollar Hompage. A guy sold a textlink for $1 and sold a lot of text links for a buck and earned a million dollars. But, a lot of people copied him and was not as successful.
