I just wanted to ask you: Do you use the same passwords for all forums or different sites? (Don't worry I won't hack your site) 😛 I'm just curios because I feel like it's kind of safer but I might forget all passwords.
As a professional in the IS field my instinct is to say not to do this, but passwords for random forums are a lot different than something that contains sensitive information.
I use the same password for forums i don't really visit much and post there now and again, my forum i use a 64 character, digit, letter, symbol and special character password, on here, my hosting, email, paypal, facebook i use a different password for each with the same strength.
You cant be careful enough and those who are foolish and use the same passwords for everything will eventually learn the hard way and lose everything.
I use one passwords for forums
and another for my sites and one diffrent for my facebook
My passwords are considered as hard on the password strengh meters
I use a different password for each site I visit.
Each password I use is at least 12 characters long, and consists of letters, digits, and symbols.
Here is an example: A8&n$SqR9jH!kF)S_
Gotta be careful though. If you computer is compromised, they'll be able to get them all. I think a hardcopy would be safer. It's work, but a piece of paper in your wallet doesn't make it that much heavier.
I have copy of passwords for impotent site in my 2nd laptop which has lot of protection, never went to any non-official website with it, and the file that has the passwords is hidden along with it being encrypted.
