If you want to encourage it than place it into a forum and do something like this:

Forum Title: Donate
Description: BUTTON

maybe add some text or something,

than put that in like someplace more visible, because though that is a nice spot I doubt anyone will look down there and see it sorry.

There is a mod for this but for some reason the mod is corrupt. It won't modify a necessary file to make it work.

all those are my forums (i dont do anything on em 😀)

but yeah like how i have the advertisements? that's where you should put your paypal button, something like that but you might want to actually NAME your forum and call it "Donate" and maybe add some information in the forum descripton?

Interesting forum you have there. I've just taken a look over it and noticed your most popular sections are "Forum Promotions" and "Graphics". I'd add a new section between these two, give it a name such as "Ads" and add the following html code as the description:

I have always wondered that... I can't see anyone donating unless it is a site they really love or the admin really needs money desperately or the forum will have to close.

Not really, only true way is if there is something else coming out of it, like for example extras for the people who donate or if it is for a good cause.

People won't donate to a forum that's been set-up using a free-host, although as you've mentioned, lots of people donate to large forums with hundreds of members and quality content,.

Actually, many people donate for perks. Look at Animal Crossing Community and their donation system. If you donate, you receive some very nice perks on the board. 😉
