I never use paypal to pay any bills or at any kiosks for that matter so anyone who doesn't is most likely okay. I normally pay bills with cash, money orders or a on rare occasions - a debit card.

Suprised to see a large corporation such as themselves, be hit by such a matter. I do prefer my online banking as I feel it's more secure but I know it's popular amongst many

Anyone can get hit these days. They probably had precautionary measures and defense installed but if an ex or rogue employee was responsible - getting around those wouldn't be too hard if you are a person who used to be on the inside.

Pardon me for saying this but I am careful when it comes to jolting news like that. With the prevalence of fake news, I have been a skeptic already. But in fairness to such news reports, Yahoo had been hacked and it's a bigger website than Paypal. So I have to agree with some comments here that you can be hit no matter what. It's a good thing that my Paypal balance is pretty small most of the time so no worries for me.
