If payment is made by a credit card, or any other transaction other then from another PayPal account (I think this might not be included with donations or at least non-profit type things, not to sure how to go about that) PayPal takes out a transaction percentage.

This percentage varies depending upon how much money is flowing through the account, in this case, they took out a 33% fee. Also, I stand corrected, they have a dollar amount that is set for each transaction, then from what is left, they take a percentage.

If money is sent from paypal to paypal as a gift there is no change 😉

Wow, that is a lot for sending money. It seems more worth it to just send a cheque in an envelope with a stamp.

you mean a check? 😀 and um, it could be but it's all about the time frame, sometimes electronic transfers are so much more convenient and easier then that. Also, the reason for the charge is because PayPal needs to make money themselves!

Lol, like Antarctic/Unbreakable says, the world doesn't revolve around the USA. It can be cheque or check. 😉

I think Goods as well doesn't charge, though I have seen my Gifts being charged, but I always take the charge.

I don't really get paypal. I mean.. it's not like I am getting $100 transfers daily, and such. I just do what I need to, to get cash and have it sent.

Maybe for your case, however people are transferring amounts like $500 hourly.
