Does Stripe offer a better transaction fee?

My biggest issue with stripe, is the confusing UI. I like the variety of options, but its overwhelming.

But yeah PayPal is trash. They were on the hot seat because they were charging people 2k over politics. 🙄

I don't have Stripe yet but need to open an account soon. Do I have to link it to a bank if I'm only doing things online like accepting payments and giving out payments?

PayPal is terrible, and I’m glad that we are slowly seeing more and more legitimate alternatives. Hopefully we can move away from it entirely in the near future.

My problem with PayPal is that as soon as I get money, I give it away.

It does, all of them do. I have CashApp, just as a plan C.

Would be worse if you end up getting the money in a different currency, USD to GPB ;( Sent $1 USD then Paypal fees, total maybe get £0.48p

It's how Paypal works and out of our hands unless you send it by family or friends. I think that they stop that also now

Well, keep it on the down low. Keep it to private messages.. don't give PayPal ideas.

PayPal fees are, and always have been, awful. I much prefer Stripe or invoicing for direct bank transfer if possible. It is good to see other legitimate and safe ways to transfer money popping up though - I hope in the next few years I can delete my PayPal account altogether.

So I had a dispute for something as something was buggy and it reached Paypal escalation and Paypal declined it for whatever reason then I got an email from Paypal saying they put the money from the purchase into my account credit.

Wouldn't it have been easier just to refund the proper way?

I usually only use my personal account but used my business account today, and they charged me 99 cents fee to transfer a few dollars friends/family. Ouch! I thought it was around 35 cents. That's quite a bit of an increase.

Paypal is good if you are a buyer as you can dispute a transaction of the seller tries to cheat you.

That is the only reason people prefer paypal. Beyond that, it is completely awful with their high fees. Cryptocurrency payment is taking over for sure.

One of the main issues with PayPal is its tendency to freeze or limit user accounts without warning or explanation. This can be frustrating for users who rely on PayPal for their business transactions and can result in lost funds and damaged reputations. Additionally, PayPal's customer service has been criticized for being slow and unresponsive in resolving these account issues.

I think some think PayPal is unfair, but they're a biz and they gotta make money. Well, there might be ways around the fees. In fact, with Western Union, Walgreens charges a lot, but Walmart doesn't.

I tried CashApp, but everytime someone is sending me money over $100 the transaction is not allowed. Even though I had a bank account linked and their card as well.

Fees are very high and in my country no personal payments accepted. Nowadays people are shifting to crypto especially usdt for international payments.
