So, between the last time I logged into PayPal to update my password, and now, I noticed a new feature offered to me by PayPal, and want to know if anyone else went after it too.

What is the new feature? Something called PayPal Key. Apparently it is a virtually generated MasterCard, that you can use for your PayPal account, with an option to draw from your bank account, if you don't have enough in PayPal to cover the cost of the item.

Anyone else noticed it?

Been digging up some information. If I am correct, it is basically a digital MasterCard Debit card, that can be used without having to have a physical card. And since it is tied to your paypal account, you can use it at any merchant that lets you purchase things using the contactless feature at checkout (or online checkout).

Ofcourse it has the backup payment option to withdraw money from whatever payment info you have attached to it, if you don't have enough in the paypal account.

Basically, it is like you going to the store to purchase a paypal debit/credit card and then linking it to your paypal account, but without the actual card on your person.

I got an email from PayPal about something new called a "PayPal Key," but I really had no interest in reading it and seeing what it was talking about. PayPal sends me useless spam all the time about obtaining a business loan or upgrading my business account, so most of their communication gets ignored.

This sounds like a fantastic feature though, especially if you get it linked to Apple Pay, Walmart Pay, and those types of services.
