It's run by a terrorist organization out of Nigeria so I would be a tad bit cautious when dealing it.

But yeah depends what your definition of safe is. Buyers? Sure go ahead. Sellers should stay clear.

The level of safety all round for PayPal is reasonably high. Being a major money transfer option, it does have a fairly good reputation for big sites and even companies.

Paypal is extremely safe for buyers, but for sellers, it really can suck. I've sold stuff before with them and I've gone through a lot of BS.

You can definitely put your bank account on there without any fears though. Trust me, myself and millions of others have and nothing bad has happened.
