Anyone seen this? It recently got added to NameCheap.

I've got my eye on a one word domain, but do you think it's worth it considering it's '.pe'?

.ps is a second-level domain and is designated to the country of Peru

I know 🙂 Just asking if people think it's worth buying domains.

Well not really unless your site is specific to Peru. I would only use World Wide domains to keep traffic coming in.

I can see a couple of awesome .pe domains. I'll search for a heap and release a list sometime today for everyone- I'm no longer into flipping domains and it's $50 for a .pe.

You think they are worth buying?

I once owned cooki.es .

One word domains that finish with the extention aren't really that popular. del.icio.us made them more widely known, but realistically they're not easy domains to type and because of their country-specific origin, they often don't hold much resale value.

I wouldn't bother with one personally.

Does anyone know, because they are country specific, are they affected by Google search in anyway.

I believe (though am not a Google employee) , that you won't have any 'disadvantage' . However you will rank higher than other sites if users from Peru select to view results from their country or region.

It's nice to have a .pe for domain hack purposes, just like any other ccTLDs. If you're trying to 'protect' your brand, then you could really considering buying .pe before your competitor does.

I don't know any other reason to get a .pe compared to getting a .io domain (popular to devs because it's sorta like input/output), .me (well mostly used on personal sites), etc.
