It's an interesting concept you have. Personally, I think that would dissuade a lot of people from joining forums. I know back in the day I joined a few that only allowed you to have text in your signature area and I said screw it I'm not going to visit here because I can't identify myself as I want to.

Just something to keep in mind.

Well so far no has complained or mentioned anything about it so I'll keep it the way it is but it may be something I consider changing in the future

Honestly, overall, I love PeakForums. Especially the design aspect of it. While I love the theme, I feel like the new/old icons for each board are a bit dull and boring with just a simple color. Maybe make them grey and transition into the blue when there are new posts on that particular board they are assigned to. That way, user's will have an indication of new posts.

Something else that stands out is that your forums activity has dropped a bit in the last month, pretty drastically too. I think you should host an event or contest to get your members more involved with your forum. Possibly, you could even send a newsletter out to your members including whatever you think would draw them back to you.

Well, best of Luck!

The icons are the way you described it. When they're aren't any new posts its grey whereas forums with new posts have blue icons.
Thanks for the suggestions

Not on my end (for whatever reason and I'm a member). I've clicked in every board to make sure I've viewed and they're still blue. Hence my suggestion. The only icon that's grey for me is the staff board--which I don't have access to.

They indicate new posts therefore you would have had to read every single thread for it to go grey. Try clicking the icon itself which will mark the forum as read 😉

Yeah, I did that. Either way, the issue was on my end. I had to clear my cache. Weird.

Oh alright. Glad it's fixed. Maybe because before we used actual images but now we are using css icons

First Impressions
[note]========== BEGIN - First Impressions ==========[/note]
When I first visited the site, I really liked the feel of it. A lot of things did look familiar, though. The logo is mostly the same as Forum Promotions, the favicon is almost the same as Forum Promotions, the theme looks like other themes that I have seen on quite a few forums. It does look appealing, though. The dark theme is easy on the eyes and from everything that I can see on the front page, it's very organized. I did notice that some sections are used more than others. I think you should try to create more threads in all of the sections and even out the thread count a little bit so It doesn't look like some sections are being unused.

Design Quality
[note]========== BEGIN - Design Quality ==========[/note]
As I was saying above, I really like the feel of the site. The theme looks familiar, though, with the exception of the moving squares at the top. I am personally a fan of those, but I think they are a little bit distracting from everything else. As I continue to browse through the forum, there are some things I noticed that you should fix/edit. On the upgrades page, the "Sponsor" offer is messed up.

Things aren't aligned right with the other things, and the box is shorter than all of the others. If there is a way for you to fix this, I highly recommend you look into doing so. The second thing I wanted to talk to you about was the size of the "Galaxy" user bar. I think is a little big and it should be smaller to be the size of the other user bars.

Good

Originality
[note]========== BEGIN - Originality ==========[/note]
This is the number one thing I wanted to talk to you about. I don't think everything on your forum is very original. The first thing that really popped out to me, is the forum logo and favicon. I said this above and I will say it again. Both the logo and the favicon look like Forum Promotions with the exception of the blue and orange color differential. I don't think that is really original and it looks like you are copying the forum. I personally think you should look into finding another logo font and maybe creating a new favicon so it will be more original. There are other things such as the username titles, user bars, user stars, and the theme that I have seen elsewhere, but people might have been copying things from Peak Forums other than the other way around so I will not really say much about that.
[note]========== END - Originality ==========[/note]
Poor

Final Remarks
PeakForums is doing really well so far and I think the forum has a lot of potential! You have a lot of exciting things on the forum, contests, different sections, and lots of things that people would be interested in. I wish you lots of luck in the future and I really hope you take the advice I gave you and use it to make the forum even better and unique! 🙂

The sponsor userbar hasn't loaded up for your browser which is why its messed up

The galaxy userbar is a custom usergroup which belongs to a paying member so its up to him about the userbar (as long as it meets size guidelines).

"username titles, user bars, user starts" - Not sure what you mean by username titles and user starts.

User stars*/ the star rank images.
The sponsor image is appearing broke now. If I hit F5, it reloads then briefly shows a broken image before that disappears as well.

Wow. Just wow. Your forum has come very far since you re-opened it, and it looks awesome. I'm always happy to see custom forum-specific icons as well as a custom header. Really the only thing I can suggest is to completely hide the "Adult Cafė" from public view. It's a little annoying having it on the index when I can't see it, but this is not something huge.

Best of luck Kingcool. 🙂
