Pending Activation

I have a few members that are sitting at pending activation. I am considering just deleting the accounts because I feel that the majority of them are spam registers but would like to hear everyone's opinions on this.

The couple that I checked are so I'm assuming the rest are as well. Not sure if it's worth keeping the accounts and just leaving them be as they aren't really doing anyone any harm or if scraping them as they aren't legit members is a better route.

Requiring email activation does help to cut down spam on your forum. On the other hand it makes it more difficult for visitors to register and become full members. Unless you have huge problems with spam, it would be worth considering turning off that email activation.

If they are real users they would have activated their accounts or if they couldn't they would have contacted you for help.

So just delete them. It is their fault if they were real accounts they had the time to contact you.
