Permissions query ?

Yeah permissions :shrug:

Anybody know how to allow Global Moderators to see IP's in WHO IS ONLINE the same as admins do ?

I have been all around the rabbit warrens of Permissions today but no joy .......

If anyone knows please enlighten me.

I believe (i may be wrong here) that it is only admins that can see IP's and there is no way to allow moderators to see IP's. As i said i might be wrong but i am pretty sure there is no way.

Actually with vBulletin you can make moderators see ip's and also guests,registered users if you wanted to. 😛

phpBB3 though doesn't offer any such abilities apart from moderators seeing post details which include the posters IP.

Yeah VB I know does allow you to see WHO IS ONLINE IP's as a Mod.

Thats great guys, just wanted to make sure I was not having a blonde moment as I could find no way of allowing it in permissions.

Just an update incase anyone else wanted to allow this - you can put the Global Mod into the Admin Group but not as default.

Then the Global Mod can view the IPs of who is online but does not have admin capabilities in the ACP !
