2 suggestions

The text could be a bit darker I feel -- it's a bit hard on the eyes at the moment

Just a few shades darker, and I think it will work much better.

As for the second suggestion, I would recommend adding ajax validation to that contact form. Upon submission I just get a reload of the page. Not sure if it works right now or not, but there's no way to tell. It just reloads and sends me back to the top. Not very user friendly.
