Don't be mistaken. The title us Pests and not pets. We are always wary of pests in the house particularly with mosquitoes. They are very irritating. The itchy skin due to mosquito bites can ruin my day. Over here, there are mosquitoes even in the morning. Cockroaches are also one of our enemies although they are easier to control. How about bedbugs? That's another story, a long one so I would post it in another thread.

One of the biggest things here apart from mosquitoes are the crickets. They chirp at night, all night, and continue doing so early in the morning as well while you're trying to sleep, so sleeping with the windows open is sometimes a major pain in the butt.
It actually depends on the typr of mosquito prevelant in any given area. Their active time of the day, transmitted disease, egg laying areas and all change according to the species.
They really only show up here in the afternoon and evening.

We usually get brown and hobo spiders during the summer and fall seasons here. And various other bugs during spring.
Well, mosquitoes are everywhere sadly. Even if your pest control companies are trying to prevent it, they can never truly succeed. They can be very annoying, especially when you go to bed and all out of the sudden something starts buzzing around your head. Quite fun 🙂 What I find worse than mosquitoes are earwigs. If you grow grapes or fruits, these fellas can be quite a horrific thing to see.
Thankfully we don't have a very large earwig presence in our area, however I have seen them on occasion and you're right, they are nasty little insects.
I always hate those garbage flies. They drive the dogs nuts! XD They like to chase em and try to eat them. Actually they do that with the moths too. My dog used to herd them out of the bookcase to chase em. Used to catch them too!
My dog does that as well, with flies, horseflies, wasps/hornets, even the bees, though we certainly don't want him doing it with the latter as we love our bees.
Spiders, lots of them, really big lots of them, Bird eating spiders that make tranchulas look like babies. And make Wolf spiders look even smaller, but yet they are all so big
