Around Halloween is usually when those things pop up because it brings out the families. We used to take our daughter to one farmstand that rented out animals especially for their petting farm at Halloween.
There was also a place up in Michigan that closed before Covid called Deer Forest, and you could go and pet the hundreds of deer that they had there. It was also an amusement park with tiny rides.
