I've had GIMP for a couple years now but I haven't really taken the time to learn it. Every time I start to look through tutorials and stuff they just get SO long and I get bored and frustrated...
Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to ask is: What photo editing/graphic making software do you use: How did you learn it: How long did it take for you to become "fluent": What do you primarily use it for:

I should mention that I've been a user of GIMP for four years.

My Choice is Photoshop CS2 it has more advanced features and easy to use with a little knowledge. I like working with Photoshop rather than any other software.

You got to have patience to be fluent not only for graphics. On everything basically.
I don't use photoshop because i'm cheap. I figure if I can't even figure out how to use GIMP properly there's no point in me wasting money on software that has even more bells and whistles. Haha.
