PS has capabilities far greater than Paint.NET or GIMP.

I've been using GIMP for 4 years and I've never thought that.

But I do need to switch to PS soon, it is more powerful.

Gimp might not be as good as Photoshop,but it is not rubbish.

GIMP is by far the best free alternative IMHO 😉

I have Photoshop and to be honest. It sucks. GIMP does a much better job, it is smaller, it does everything that Photoshop can do (to various extensions) and is free. Doesn't have the big tag on it.
