A camera, no matter how many automatic features it may have, is a lifeless piece of equipment until a person uses it. It then becomes a uniquely responsive tool--an extension of the photographer's eye and mind. A photographer creates a picture by a process of selection. Photographers looking through the camera's viewfinder must decide what to include and what to exclude from the scene. They select the distance from which to take the picture and the precise angle that best suits their purpose.

does anyone on here do photography? i got a Pentax K200D for my 21st birthday and im still paying off on of the lens' 😛

it is my main hobby and any spare time i get i go out and take photos.

You have some shots in your gallery that I absolutely love. "Heading to the Unknown" is definitely one of my favorites.

I am considering purchasing the Canon Rebel SL1 camera. (I even wrote about my goal in my blog lol) eventually I really want to dabble into Photography. I want to get really good at capturing landscape shots as well as portraits.
