Hey, I am hoping that this is the right place for this. I figure it fits with the other things that are here, so here goes...

I am PHP web developer and have around 8 or 9 years of experience (off and on) in coding PHP and MySQL, with HTML and CSS on the side. I primarily have done work on modifications for the popular open-source forum software, phpBB, (I am the newest member of the phpBB.com MOD Team) but I am looking to branch out into other jobs.

My main skills are in:
  • PHP
  • OOP (Object Oriented Programming)
  • MySQL
NOTE: Please realize that I am experienced in programming, but not as much in design. I will provide a basic design for any projects, as required for functionality, but it is recommended that you find a designer to make it look more professional.

I have some experience in:
  • working in a group environment
  • using version control (e.g. Subversion (SVN), Git, etc.)
  • working within a deadline

I will attempt to save a log of all communications (via PM, Email, IM, or otherwise) for future reference in case of confusion. I have great communication skills (English is my first language), and will do by best to implement all requested features as asked.

I am currently a full time student, so my time is limited. I will not be able to do too much, but I can do a few smaller-scale projects if needed.
I just graduated high school and I now have more time to devote to larger and more involved jobs. Let me know via PM or reply.

If I am unable to complete a project due to complexity, personal reasons, or otherwise, a discount will be arranged and all code written up to that point will be provided so that the next developer does not have to start from scratch if s/he does not wish to.
 
Would you be able to take a look at a MOD someone else wrote and try to fix bugs to work with other MODs?

Is it possible for you to give some examples of work you have done before? PM if you prefer.

How will you charge, e.g. will you charge per project or on a per hour basis?

Have you any experience of writing software specification documents?

I have two validated phpBB MODs under my belt (with a couple more in progress). Those two are Signature Forum Select and User Post Isolation, which can be downloaded in the phpBB Customizations Database. Those as well as the ones that are currently in development are also available on my site (link in signature) on the MODs page.

I have also created a fully functional custom articles system for Nathan, which is being used on Promotion Source.

I am also a new member of the phpBB Junior MOD Validator team.

I currently charge per project, but I am considering moving to a per-hour basis in the future. My rates are very flexible. All payments are done via PayPal.

I have no experience in writing documents, but I can try my hand at it if someone would like.

If anyone else has any questions, I am up for answering them. 🙂

I'm not much of a designer. I'm more skilled at the backend type stuff; I'm afraid of how it would turn out if I tried to skin something myself. 😕

Currently it's a $6 flat rate for MOD installation. PM me with details about what you need and I'll let you know. I'm going to be fairly busy tomorrow but I should be able to do it by this weekend depending on the size of the MOD and such.
