PHP script Appraisal.

Just did this script, as i had some free time. Just wanted to know how much it is worth.

Its a custom work, that finds where a URL shortener's short URL redirects to.

It currently supports the following services.

• bit.ly
• goo.gl
• tinyurl
• ow.ly
• is.gd
• tiny.cc
• moourl
• yep.it
• miniurl.com
• doiop.com

It also provide WOT (web of trust) rating of the URL through WOT API.

That's pretty awesome.

The WOT result didn't come up for me though and after the result was done it stayed loading for close to a minute, maybe 30 seconds.


Not sure on appraising but I would buy it. 😛

It takes some time for WOT API to return the results. 🙁

Try with a different link. Probably a temporary problem with the WOT's API.

Yeah! Just looking for a list of URL shorteners.
Can't find a good list. 🙁

And i believe its worth $40+ as it has WOT API integration too, and screenshot of result site.

I would say $20 - $25. It would be worth a bit more if it was faster. I wouldn't give it $40, however.

Found the speed issue. its a problem with host. Switched host and it works fine now. 🙂 Give it a try.

And i guess i will use the script myself. $25 won't be worth the time i spent on it.

I would actually pay $50, if I had $50 and I had an actual use for it. I mean, you could make more than $50 if you allowed registration, and a premium option for x dollars a month/year for x number of searches in x amount of time, and free users get less then that.

Those features can be added. But doing such options (users, paypal integration, etc) would result in the price increasing to about $100. If someone is ready to buy it at that price i can do it. Else, i would host it on my own.
