They finally got a patch released since 3.0.10.

For those that own a phpBB forum. How did the updating go?

I own two phpBB forums and am going to update them both now. Will let you know how it goes.

I never update straight away. I will probably update the live forum in a week or 2 aslong as the updates on the test forums go well which they usually do.

I just updated 2 heavy modified phpBB boards and updating both went quite smooth.

Board A had 2 conflicting files while board B had 6 or so and even then no real errors when updating.

I was hopping that they will bring lots of change in this update as it has been 6months after their last update.I also heard that there would be extensions/like something easier than mods but all turned out like....unhappy with this update.

Are there any changes besides the patch? What did it cover? I should probably go see the release notes.

I've just updated my forum and it fine! Wouldn't have bothered me much if there was a problem as I've only just started creating my forum and adding MODs (Bliming frustrating these are XD ) on it.

I've been creating a forum but stopped for a bit. Might as well update.

This is only a maintenance release. Features will come in the next major update (phpBB 3.1).

hmm, will be waiting for it and it will determine phpbb future.People are already moving to mybb for free forum software.

The only reason I am using Mybb over Phpbb at the moment is because installing mods on phpbb is such a hassle 😛 Other than that, I actually like phpbb.

It took 8 months for this? phpBB needs to step up their game.

I've heard this first when Pluvia was updating its thread. I'm very excited to hear about the software update 🙂
