For those of you that aren't familiar with phpBB's history and quick reply, it is the feature to them that's been (or it has been in the past) the only one the dev's and team members have said "No!, it's not going to happen, ever, ever, never ever, now go away" ( 😛 ) and for some reason, 3.0.6 will include it! -8)- 3.0.6 will also include CAPTCHA plugins, ATOM Feeds, new Cache/ACM plugins and some other cool stuff.
I knew it would only be a matter of time before they surrendered to the community. I quite look forward to seeing how it turns out, and what features it'll include. Hopefully it won't be a lame version whereby you have to click a button to either open the quick reply or "activate it" like some early versions of vBulletin. Ideally it'll be nice and simple, no smilies, BBCode buttons or the rest of it.
Additionally, keyboard shortcut support would be nice - although seeing as they've been reluctant to add it altogether for many years, I don't think they'll try to push the boat out too much.
