If someone misenters a password, and gets locked out, when does it let them try to login again? Can an admin somehow set a legnth of time or re-activate someone who is having problems?

The forum I was messed up has a broken captcha, so what would an admin
need to do to re-activate my account?

yeah its in the admin panel in general settings i think or board settings cant remember the name and you adjust the length of time.

It says to enter a captcha, but it don't show one, so how do I
get my account back? What does the admin need to do?

The admin would have to work out why the CAPTCHA isn't working and fix it (which is better in the long run) or for a quick fix for your account get the admin to log into the acp and change the board setting

Maximum number of login attempts:
After this number of failed logins the user needs to additionally confirm his login visually (visual confirmation).

Under the registration settings to a much higher value then you will no longer get the captcha to need to fill in.
