phpBB - Center BBcode by default

Out of all the forums I've used I've found the only software that does not include center by default is phpBB. Who thinks they should implement this and why do you think they haven't already?

It only takes 30 seconds to add. But i do agree with you.Maybe it hasn't crossed thier minds. Or they're to dang lazy.

They bring in Quick Reply. I guess they are more fond of Newspapers... But then again they would bring in some sort of Justified BBcode. Hmm?

I guess I do agree with this, although like others have said it's easy to add just about any BB Code in a matter of seconds, having the centered one by default would make things a lot easier. I myself never use it unless I'm doing like song lyrics or something, but it would make things easier for all parties involved.

I dont like forums with this code:

I know what you mean. The first example you posted is very common and just looks so sloppy and messy, especially when you have the first one in a post and someone quotes what you're saying and that code show's up like that. The second one looks so much neater and doesn't look half as sloppy.​

The second is also shorter and easier to type out. To be honest i forgot that phpBB doesn't have the center bbcode by default. It would be a good and simple addition though for them.

Agreed. Sadly, that's how a lot of BB Codes are is like the first example Theezy showed, and I really hate that, especially when you quote a person and then it has the [quote="Username]quote[/quote] a lot of these basic ones look sloppy and they could be done a tiny bit neater in my opinion.
