Alright I will start on the primary functions of phpBB Communities and what its focuses are.

Promotional Services

Promotion is key to any sites success. Promotion is something I personally learned even more about while I spent my time away from FP and learned a lot more over time and I plan to share my experiences and knowledge with others, but I plan to make this knowledge also a service for community members of phpBB Communities. By pushing our standards on promotion services as well as rewarding our users for using such services.

Exchange

Exchange is also another focus for phpBB Communities. We will focus heavily on promoting exchange and wanting our users to interact and exchange with each other, but more so we want users to feel deeply rewarded for doing so. Exchanges should not be a burden, but a blessing for all community owners who decide to interact and do exchanges with each other. We want fellow community owners to feel part of not just phpBB Communities, but also connected to each other for a common goal.

General Services

The primary services such as well known reviews as well as posting-type services is another focus for phpBB Communities. Quality is key and that is a standard and focus I plan to push heavily for our staff members. I want people to feel when they make a request to use any of our services they know they will be treated well and always know they will be given an excellent service without disappointments.

Economy

Economy for the type of site phpBB Communities was before and I will apply it again to this phpBB Communities is a economy. Economy is a important part of the entire community of phpBB Communities, but must be understood that it doesn't show the success of just phpBB Communities, but other owners who participate and exchange and socialize and share knowledge in the community. I will allow a bank system as well as few other things to make a near reality economic-system that will be improved over time, but also rewarding for those who want to invest their time in that could be, hopefully have value to real world currency. The economy has a important role and I hope to make have a high standard and value as the rest of phpBB Communities and what phpBB Communities will have to offer everyone who participates.

Last but not least...

The primary goal for phpBB Communities is to be an inspiration as well as a goal for all owners. This isn't about myself, but for all owners to know they can be success if they chose to be. I hope phpBB Communities can live up to a high quality standard that will achieve great things, but not just for itself, but to share with the rest of the internet as well as other communities in the future.

In closing any feedback is appreciated. I wanted to share phpBB Communities focuses and ideas without spoiling to much and would appreciate others ideas. Success is determined by the ideas not of just ones own self, but also from the ideas of others. phpBB Communities is in the process of opening by or before March 20, 2017.

What I would like is there to be a focus on phpBB. It would be great if you weren't just another general promotion forum and had resources for phpbb forums. Maybe have some modifications or styles developed for phpBB (it might be too much but just an idea 🙂).

Couldn't have said it much better myself.

Definitely should have phpBB resources and a primary focus on phpBB. Since that's in the site name.

I appreciate the feedback and have actually came up with an excellent idea for it. I am currently at work, but I will go into more detail as to what it is once I am on my computer. Then we can continue from there with your guys thoughts.

Although your idea is good, phpBB Communities was a forum that was there to help promote others sites. In its day it was FP.

I agree ☝️ changes should be made but I feel it should be scheduled out over time. Let's get the forum back and open first, once the nustalga has past then think about adding features.

Please do remember this is not a NEW website but an old one returning to the fold. So restrictions do apply. As a former staff member on the old phpBBC I can remember all that it was. I can't let the meaning be changed too much it is a promotion forum it will promote forums as it's primary function. How it does it can be altered

I do agree with @Jax to a degree he is right on the original purpose. phpBB Communities is indeed not a new site, but a renewal to what was once was, but in a better direction and new ownership.

At the same time I do agree with @kingcool52 @Aaron @D it wouldn't be to difficult to push phpBB oriented subjects since phpBB Communities does stand for phpBB. Though the way I would personally like to handle it may some agree some may not, but that is up to everyone who hears out my idea.

Firstly it wouldn't be hard to push the phpbb narrative, this in itself won't be a problem, but the core issue is drawing interest. I think the best approach would be to draw the interest of designers and mod developers a like to phpBB Communities who would love to exclusively release their content on phpBB Communities. I would love to make phpBB Communities a breeding ground for new mod developers and designers. Also making it worth it, but more so more worth the time to invest their time in release their work on phpBB Communities exclusively through rewards and promotions that would heavily benefit designers and mod developers to inspire them to keep creating more. I believe phpBB Communities could achieve that goal in making it very worth while to being a mod developer or designer on phpBB Communities and be appreciated and sponsored by phpBB Communities into creating more for future generations of communities that use the phpBB software.

I never really liked their software to begin with. Very ugly, generic interfaces. I recently installed it for a temporary forum, and I was reminded of the fact that I just could never get into it.
