PHPBB design problems

I'm having troubles turning a HTML theme into a PHPBB3 theme.

1. All text in posts are bold.

2. How do I change the images around the forum display design.

3. Can't turn BG color it just stays white.

gaimforum.com is where I'm having the trouble anyone know how to fix this?

Have you checked that you don't have a missing </strong> code somewhere?
